How to play
Kind words to use every day: hello, please, thank you, sorry, good night and more.
- Learn: tap a card to hear the phrase in the new language and then in English.
- What do you say?: a friend is in a little story, like getting a present. Tap the right phrase to say.
- Pick any of six languages. Spoken words use that language’s voice when your device has one.
For grown-ups: this device does not seem to have a voice for the chosen language, so words may be read in an English voice or not at all. The written word still shows on screen. You can usually add language voices in your phone or computer settings under Accessibility or Speech.
For grown-ups: free to play, with no timers, no scores to lose, no ads and no purchases. Tap Sound off for quiet play. Portuguese uses Brazilian words and Mandarin uses simplified characters with pinyin.
