Privacy policy

New Tech is operated by New Tech, a family-owned business in DeLand, Florida, USA. This policy explains what we collect and why.
We keep only what we need to run New Tech, and we never sell your information.
What we store
- Account: your name, email, a scrambled code made from your password (a “hash”; we cannot read your password), your referral code, reward points history, Diamonds and game items, and your VIP membership status.
- Orders: what you bought, the price, discounts and shipping, your shipping name, address, email and (if you give it) phone, the Square payment and receipt IDs, and shipping/tracking updates. Donations and Diamond purchases are stored the same way, without an address.
- Games: the display name and scores you submit to the leaderboard, and how many game points you earned today.
- Messages: what you send on the contact form (name, email, phone if given, how to reach you, and your message).
- Security: to stop password guessing and spam we briefly keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, and we keep a sign-in cookie (“nt_sess”) for up to 30 days. It is only used to keep you signed in.
Payments
Payments are handled by Square. Your card or bank details go straight to Square in its secure form; we never see or store them. For VIP, Square stores your card so it can renew your membership. See Square’s privacy notice.
Where it is kept
Our website and data are hosted by Netlify (in the United States). Contact-form messages are also emailed to our team.
Emails we send
We email receipts for purchases and donations and shipping notices with tracking. These emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which receives your name, email address and the receipt contents only to deliver the message. We do not send marketing email. Replies come to hello@newtechfamily.com.
Sales tax records
For orders shipped to Florida we keep the delivery county, tax rate and tax collected with the order, because Florida requires us to report and keep these records.
In your browser
Your cart, text-size choice, last shipping address, and a copy of your account summary are saved in your own browser so pages load quickly. You can clear them by clearing your browser data.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete your information, or to close your account, contact us from the email on your account. We keep order records as long as the law requires for taxes and accounting.
