Scam Message Checker
Got a text, email or message that feels wrong? Paste it below. We look for the warning signs scammers use. Nothing is sent anywhere: the check happens on your own device.
What to do if you think it is a scam
- Do not click links, call numbers or reply in the message.
- Contact the company or person yourself, using a number or website you already know is real (on your card, bill or their official site).
- Forward scam texts to 7726 (it spells SPAM) so your phone company can block them.
- Report it to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov (opens in a new tab).
- If you gave out personal details or money, visit IdentityTheft.gov (opens in a new tab) for a step-by-step recovery plan, and call your bank straight away.

This checker looks for common warning signs. It cannot promise a message is safe. When in doubt, don't click.
Is This Link Real?
Scammers make web addresses that look almost real, like amaz0n-help.com. Paste a link and we will show you who it really goes to.
Tip: the real owner of a web address is the part just before .com, .org or .gov, right before the first single slash. Everything before it can be faked.
Password Strength Checker
Type a password to see how strong it is. It never leaves your device and is not saved. For extra safety, try one that is like yours rather than your real one.
Wi-Fi Fix-It
Internet stopped working? Most problems are fixed with these steps. Tick each one as you go.
Never let a stranger who calls you "from your internet company" onto your computer. Call the number on your bill instead.
